What exactly is Kovva?
An app for people who live in an owners’ building. It gathers what is scattered today across emails, PDFs, noticeboards and phone calls: what you pay, what you use, what is broken, what is being voted on and where everyone’s money goes.
Can my building use it if the manager does not want to?
Not today. Kovva feeds on what the management handles — readings, bills, movements, minutes — so that is the way in. If your manager does not know it, tell us which building it is and we will talk to them with you there.
What if our building self-manages, with no firm?
Then whoever keeps the books is the chair or a neighbour, and that is who we talk to. It works the same; only who publishes changes.
How much does it cost?
We are settling the price with the first buildings. If you want to be in that first group, request access and we will talk, no strings attached.
Data and privacy
Who sees my usage and my bills?
You, and the owner of your home if that is not you. Nobody else: not your neighbours, not the chair. The building’s accounts are seen by all owners, because they are theirs.
What does a tenant see?
What affects them: their usage, the building’s issues, the notices and the bookings. They do not see the books or the minutes, which belong to the owners.
Are people in arrears published?
No. Kovva shows the overall outstanding figure, because it affects the whole building, but never who owes. That has its own legal route and it is not an app.
Is my data sold?
No. There is no advertising and we do not sell data to anyone. The product is paid for by what the product costs.
Your manager and the law
Does it replace my property manager?
No. It is the tool your manager uses to show you their work. Whoever signs off the accounts, calls the meetings and answers to the building is still them.
Is the app’s vote legally valid?
No, and we do not present it as such. Spanish horizontal-property law and your bylaws set out how a vote happens. Kovva’s poll is advance and non-binding: it is there so you turn up knowing where the agreement is.
What if we change manager?
The building’s information belongs to the building. If you change firms, it can go with you.

Is there an Android version?
The first version is for iPhone. Android comes after; if your building needs it to get started, tell us, because that changes the order.
Do meters have to be installed?
No. Kovva uses the readings already taken to produce your bill, manual or smart. If your building splits by share with no individual meters, you will see that split with the same breakdown.
Does it work without a caretaker or front desk?
Yes, and that is where it shows most. In a building with no front desk, the notices and the bookings are exactly what has nowhere to live today.
