Who is responsible for your data

First, what we do NOT do

We don’t sell data to anyone, not now and not once we have customers.

There is no advertising in Kovva, neither in the app nor on this website.

We don’t use Google Analytics or any other third-party measurement, and there are no social network pixels. This website does not follow you.

We don’t profile anyone. We don’t record which minutes you open or how long you look at a screen.

We make no automated decisions that affect you.

The app: today it collects nothing

The Kovva app has no accounts yet. While that is the case, it sends no data anywhere: no sign-up, no analytics and no advertising identifiers.

The only thing it stores is on your own phone: whether you have seen the introduction, whether demo mode is on, and whether you prefer the app light or dark. It goes away when you uninstall it.

If you turn on Face ID or your fingerprint, the check is done by your phone’s own system. Your face and your fingerprint never leave the device and we never see them.

The day accounts exist, this page will change before the first piece of data is collected, not after.

When you request access from the website

The «Request access» form collects what you type into it: your name, your email, your phone if you give it, the building and its address, how many homes it has, who manages it, and any message you leave.

We use it for one thing: to answer you and to work out whether Kovva fits your building. The legal basis is your consent, given by ticking the box, and our legitimate interest in answering the request.

It is stored on our server and a notice is sent to our inbox. It is not shared with anyone else.

If we don’t go ahead, we delete it after a year from our last conversation. And sooner if you ask us to.

The chat on this website

If you open the chat, we store what you write, the page you write from, the date and a hash of your IP address. It is used to answer you and so a person can pick the conversation up.

To write the replies we use the Anthropic (Claude) API, a company in the United States. That means the text of the conversation leaves the European Union to be processed. Anthropic acts as a processor and does not use those conversations to train its models.

Don’t type passwords, card numbers or health data into the chat. The assistant will never ask you for them; if someone asks you for them in our name, they are not us.

Conversations are deleted after 24 months.

Cookies and the like

Kovva sets no advertising or analytics cookies. That is why you won’t see a cookie banner asking permission for something we don’t do.

The chat stores a conversation identifier in your browser so that reloading the page doesn’t lose what you were writing. It is technical and necessary for the chat to work.

This website’s typefaces are currently loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when you open it. It is the only third-party call on the site, and the plan is to remove it by serving the fonts from our own server.

Where the data lives

On an IONOS server in the European Union, managed by us.

The exception is the one described above: the chat text, which is processed in the United States.

What you can ask us for

To tell you what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to give it to you in a file so you can take it elsewhere, or to stop using it.

Write to privacidad@kovva.es. We answer within thirty days, usually the same day.

You don’t need to explain why. And if you think we got it wrong, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Children

Kovva is for owners, tenants and property managers. It is not aimed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

If this changes

When there are accounts and data from real buildings, this page will be rewritten before that happens, with the date visible at the top. What we will not do is quietly widen what we use something for after you have given it to us.
