Building accounts

Everyone’s money, in everyone’s sight.

Balance, reserve fund and budget spent line by line. And behind every movement, its invoice, its supplier and its date.

The budget

How much was approved and how much has gone.

Line by line, with what has been spent and what is left. It is the question asked at every meeting, answered all year round.

  • Current balance and reserve fund, with its percentage.
  • Approved budget against real spend, line by line.
  • Every movement with its supplier, its date and its invoice.

Special levies

A levy you understand before you vote on it.

What it is for, what it adds up to, what your share is and over how many instalments. All of that before the meeting, not after.

  • The total and what falls to your home.
  • The instalment calendar and which ones you have paid.
  • The contractors’ quotes being compared.

Why this changes the meetings

The important part gets discussed

If spending is published all year, the meeting stops being a numbers review and starts being a decision.

Less suspicion

Most doubts about a management company come from not being able to look. Here you look whenever you like.

And it leaves a trail

What is published is dated. It works as well for chasing a supplier as for defending a cost.

What is published and what is not

Transparency is not publishing everything. It is publishing what belongs to everyone.

Yes: the spending

Every movement, its supplier, its date and its invoice. It is the building’s money.

Yes: what is outstanding, in total

The overall unpaid figure, because it shapes what the building can do.

No: who owes it

Publishing names of debtors has its own legal route and it is not an app.

No: one home’s data

Not the usage, not the bill, not the debt of any one neighbour.

About the accounts

Do tenants see the accounts?

No. The books and the minutes belong to the owners. A tenant sees what affects them: usage, issues, notices and bookings.

And people in arrears?

Kovva shows the overall outstanding figure, because it affects the whole building. It does not publish who owes: that has its own legal route and it is not an app.

Does it replace the manager’s bookkeeping?

No. Their accounting software stays theirs; Kovva is the window they show it through. Whoever signs off the accounts still signs them off.

Can it be exported?

Yes, what you see can be downloaded. It is the building’s information and its owners’.

Shall we show Kovva to your building?

Tell us which building it is and who manages it. No strings attached.

The app

Kovva lives on your phone.
