Kovva shows sensitive information: what you use, what you pay and what your building owes. Here is exactly who sees what.
What we do and what we do not
The right-hand list matters less than the left one: almost everything that can go wrong here is something we chose not to do.

Who sees what
Kovva tells four roles apart. It is not a shared folder where everything is there for everyone.
Their bills and usage, those of the homes they own, and the building’s accounts, minutes and meetings.
What affects them: their usage, the issues, the notices and the bookings. Neither books nor minutes.
The same as an owner, plus whatever the building decides to give them to do the job.
What they already handle today. Kovva gives them access to nothing they did not have before.
The most delicate figure in a building is not how much gets spent: it is who owes.

Encrypted in transit
Everything goes over HTTPS. The app talks to nobody over an unencrypted channel.
Permissions checked on the server
It is not enough for the app not to show something: the server will not hand it over either if it is not yours.
Face ID to open
The app locks itself. If someone borrows your unlocked phone, your bills are not sitting there in the open.
Questions about data
Who is the data controller?
The building and its management are the ones processing the building’s data; Kovva acts as a processor, under the contract that requires. It is the same arrangement that already exists with your manager’s software.
Can I ask for my data to be deleted?
Yes, within the limits the law sets: a building has to keep certain accounting and meeting records, and nobody can delete those on an individual request. What is yours and not subject to that obligation gets deleted.
Where is it hosted?
On servers inside the European Union.
What if we change manager?
The building’s information belongs to the building. If you change firms, it can go with you.
Is there an access audit trail?
Status changes and publications are stamped with a date and an author. That is what turns “I said it three times” into a verifiable fact.
